Day 26 - 80's colours are back!

Well, despite the slightly fierce conditions, we had one of our best days of the season. With so much fresh snow it was hard not to have fun and it was only increased by seeing the way 80's skiwear is ruling the slopes. What's next, snowboarders with shoulder pads?

Joel, 20, Missisauga, Ontario

Sometimes cool doesn't require the loudest colours or the most outrageous patterns and we're feeling this laid back blue look. The jacket is by Foursquare and the pants are by Burton.

Jay, 60, Pemberton, BC

Sometimes words just can't do justice. This was Jay's first ski day in 16 years but with this Orange outfit from Regina, he showed that some outfits are timeless. (It also reminded us of the Canadian national team colours, so bonus points for that.)

Jim, 59, Titusville, FL

This jacket (Obermeyer) and pants (Spyder) combo was an absolute must have for the hall of fame. Despite the retro colours, the jacket is only a few years old which is just further proof that 80's colours are truly in vogue.

Anastasia, Whistler, BC

This is an original Swiss team suit from the 1986 Olympics and we think some of the national teams should take notice for the 2010 games here in Whistler. Very cool.

Kary, Whistler, BC

This fantastic vintage 80's gear is all from Obermayer and is a great example of the resurgent 80's colours we've been seeing on the slopes.
